WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Hispanic Heritage Month, celebrated annually from September 15 through October 15, is an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the history, culture, traditions, and contributions of Americans with roots in Spain, Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Spanish-speaking nations of the Caribbean.

The Cultural Council for Palm Beach County is highlighting events and cultural experiences taking place throughout The Palm Beaches during Hispanic Heritage Month, offering opportunities for residents and visitors to experience Hispanic and Latin American art, history, music, film, food, and traditions.

UPCOMING HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH EVENTS

Escribiendo Nuestra Historia
September 15 | 5:30–7 p.m.
Historical Society of Palm Beach County
A new exhibition documenting and preserving the stories and contributions of Hispanic families in Palm Beach County. Developed in partnership with Dina Rubio and The Latin Quarter, the exhibition features 14 individuals whose stories reflect the impact of Hispanic residents on the county’s history, culture, economy and civic life.

Hispanic Heritage Night
September 18 | 5–10 p.m.
Wellington Amphitheater
The Village of Wellington celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with live performances, dancing and games for the community.

Hispanic Heritage Festival
September 20 | 6–8 p.m.
Palm Springs Village Complex
An evening celebrating the diverse cultures of the community with live music, food and drinks, family-friendly activities and more.

Clematis by Night Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month
September 24 | 6–9 p.m.
Centennial Square & Great Lawn, West Palm Beach
The West Palm Beach Waterfront comes alive with live salsa, Latin dancing, Hispanic food, cultural traditions and community connections. The evening features Latin entertainer Luis Manuel and his ensemble, along with Hispanic heritage trivia, domino tables and other activities.

Screening of The Chess Player featuring a Q&A with producer Juan Antonio Casado
September 24 | 5–8 p.m.
Boca Museum of Art
The evening includes a musical performance by mezzo-soprano Solange Merdinian, a screening of The Chess Player and a Q&A with producer Juan Antonio Casado. A cocktail reception will follow.

Celebrations at Palm Beach County Library System
Multiple Dates & Locations
The Palm Beach County Library System is hosting 17 events throughout the county celebrating Hispanic and Latin American culture, history, art, literature and traditions. Programs include Lotería, storytimes, films, cultural trivia, book discussions, crafts and family activities.
