Cultural Council for Palm Beach County Presents Sun, Sand, Surf, Celebrating the Coast Through Art
New exhibition in downtown Lake Worth Beach features the works of 32 Palm Beach County Creative Professionals

October 20, 2026 (Lake Worth Beach, Fla.) – From shifting reflections and atmospheric skies to surf culture and shoreline environments, 32 Palm Beach County-based creative professionals explore the landscapes, light, and visual culture of coastal South Florida in Sun, Sand, Surf, a new exhibition presented by the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County.
Free and open to the public November 6 through December 31, 2026, the exhibition will be on view in the William R. and Joyce A. Kruger Family Gallery at the Council’s headquarters in downtown Lake Worth Beach, located inside the historic Robert M. Montgomery, Jr. Building.
Featuring a range of artistic perspectives and interpretations, Sun, Sand, Surf examines the enduring influence of the coast on the community’s creative identity. The works capture not only the natural beauty of South Florida’s beaches but also the experiences, traditions, and evolving culture of life along the shoreline.
“South Florida’s beaches are among the most beautiful and defining features of our area, offering endless inspiration through their colors, textures, changing light, and connection to the natural world,” said Jessica Ransom, the Cultural Council’s director of artist services and curator of Sun, Sand, Surf. “This exhibition invites visitors to see our familiar coastal landscapes through the eyes of Palm Bech County artists and discover the many ways these places shape our creativity, experiences, and sense of home.”
The exhibition reflects the Cultural Council’s ongoing commitment to champion Palm Beach County’s creative professionals and providing opportunities for residents and visitors to experience the region’s diverse arts and cultural offerings.
“Artists are essential to the cultural vitality of Palm Beach County. By creating opportunities for local creative professionals to share their work, the Cultural Council helps strengthen our cultural sector, connect audiences with meaningful artistic experiences, and ensure that creativity remains an integral part of life in The Palm Beaches,” said Dave Lawrence, the Cultural Council’s president and CEO.
