Kinetic Energy Exhibition Portrays Sport as Art in Palm Beach County
14 artists capture the power, movement, and emotion of athletics in anticipation of FIFA World Cup 2026 Miami™

April 6, 2026 (Lake Worth Beach, Fla) – Art and sports unite as the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County presents Kinetic Energy, a new exhibition featuring 14 Palm Beach County–based artists. Kinetic Energy is presented in partnership with the Palm Beach County Sports Commission in anticipation of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Miami™.
This exhibition captures the movement, emotion, and spirit of sport through the eyes of visual artists. From moments of intense focus to bursts of action, Kinetic Energy honors athletic expression and its deep roots in Palm Beach County’s cultural landscape.
With beautiful weather year-round, The Palm Beaches is an ideal location for outdoor sports and activities. The realistic, colorful, and engaging artwork on display in Kinetic Energy celebrates health, exercise, and athleticism.
“My vision for Kinetic Energy was to show artists exploring the beauty of motion and to show the energy, power, and grace of all types of sport,” said Director of Artist Services Jessica Ransom. “From skateboarding and swimming to, of course, soccer, guests will be immersed in how athleticism reflects perseverance, competition, and human aspiration.”
The opening reception for Kinetic Energy will take place on Thursday, April 16, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Cultural Council’s headquarters in downtown Lake Worth Beach. Live music will be provided by guitar, bass, and vocal sibling duo Cris & Alex. The reception is open to Cultural Council members and their guests. Although the reception is free, attendees are asked to RSVP here. The exhibition will run in the Main Gallery at the Cultural Council through June 12 during public hours.
