For over 30 years, the Cultural Council has actively promoted cultural development in Palm Beach County and South Florida by providing services and funding to cultural organizations and artists. We provide services through two primary avenues:
- Grants made through a competitive process to organizations of all sizes
- Grants and awards made through a competitive process to individual artists or by nomination

Grant Programs for Organizations
Announced on the State of the Cultural Sector Town Hall on October 8, the Palm Beach County Cultural Resiliency Fund is an official county grant program administered by the Cultural Council that will provide direct relief to cultural organizations recovering from the impact of COVID-19. With the support of the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners, Tourist Development Council, and County Administrator Verdenia Baker, this new grant program will allow the Council to distribute CARES Act funds to cultural organizations in need of financial assistance.
Please note: Organizations that received Federal CARES Act assistance greater than $25,000 through programs such as the Payroll Protection Program (PPP) or the Economic Injury Disaster Loan program (EIDL), are not eligible for this grant program at this time. Please review the program guidelines for eligibility requirements and other important information. Applications must be received through the Cultural Council’s online grants portal by 11:59 p.m. on November 20, 2020.
Funded by bed tax revenues, this program supports Palm Beach County nonprofit arts and cultural organizations with annual operating revenues of at least 1.175 million.
Funded by bed tax revenues, this program supports Palm Beach County non-profit arts and cultural organizations with annual operating revenues between $200,000 and $1,174,999.
Funded by the County Commission, this program provides resources to small, stable organizations or new, emerging organizations to preserve cultural heritages and expand cultural opportunities for children and youth.
Funding Opportunities for Artists
The Council also provides funding for local artists through the Artist Innovation Fellowship Program, Dina Baker Fund for Mature Female Artists and the South Florida Cultural Consortium Grant to Visual and Media Artists.
