Marketing Intern

Position Type: Part-time (2-3 days per week, up to 250 hours)
Schedule: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. 
Start Date: Late February 2023
Reports to:
Director of Marketing & Cultural Tourism
Compensation: $11/hour

Job Summary
The Marketing Intern is a part-time, hourly position. Candidates must have superior communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. The environment is fast-paced and requires someone who can multi-task and meet deadlines while maintaining high quality standards. The position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to work with Palm Beach County’s vibrant cultural sector.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assisting with marketing projects, including the Council’s annual MOSAIC (Month of Shows, Arts, Ideas and Culture) campaign
  • Event planning
  • Producing and distributing collateral materials
  • Meeting and presentation coordination
  • Submitting online calendar listings
  • Assisting with social media planning and coverage

Learning Goal
This internship is designed to give currently enrolled college students or recent college graduates the opportunity to work within a professional marketing team to gain real-world experience. By the end of the internship, the intern can expect to add one or more of the following to their portfolio of work: B2C advertising (print, radio and digital), special events and public relations, social media posts, visual samples (photography/videography), and writing samples.
