Join us for this exhibition of artwork created by our Artists-in-Residence, Ali Saunders (Ceramics) and John Lark (Painting.)

The Artist-in-Residence program selects emerging artists who apply for this competitive opportunity. These artists develop a body of work in their Armory studio space during their tenure.

John Lark transforms the canvas into a narrative playground, where abstracted figures and environments dance in harmony and discord. His oil paintings, rich in color and line, explore the complexities of human and environmental relationships. Step into his world and experience the staged intimacy and dramatic constructions that mirror contemporary life in America.

Ali Saunders invites you to discover the beauty and functionality of her ceramic vessels. Crafted with precision and adorned with repeated patterns, each piece tells a story of celebration and intimacy. Experience the dynamic connection between art and life through her creations.

At it’s core, and one of the first of its kind in South Florida, this multi-media exhibition seeks to celebrate the ingenuity of former, current, and future cultural workers. If you are engaged with a cultural institution (in a paid or volunteer capacity), we would love to see your art!
The 2024 Exhibition will be juried by Jessica Ransom, Cultural Council for Palm Beach County, Elayna Toby Singer, Palm Beach County Art in Public Places, and Yimarie Rivera, Independent Community Organizer, formerly Norton Museum of Art.
Monetary prizes will be awarded for 1st ($300), 2nd ($200), and 3rd ($100) best in show.
The 2024 theme is inspired by Arthur O’Shaugnessy’s Ode.
We are the music makers,
And we are the dreamers of dreams,
Wandering by lone sea-breakers,
And sitting by desolate streams;
World-losers and world-forsakers,
On whom the pale moon gleams:
Yet we are the movers and shakers
Of the world for ever, it seems.
