Wednesday, August 8
9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Palm Beach County Convention Center, West Palm Beach

This year, the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County will introduce our 2018/2019 co-op advertising packages at a special advertising forum. Organizations will have the opportunity to browse a variety of local and national media outlets, participate in breakout sessions with marketing peers, and learn about co-op and other special advertising opportunities.

Whether you can attend for 30 minutes or three hours, we encourage organizations to come prepared with media budgets and marketing plans, as this event is designed to help you plan your FY19 advertising efforts and bring the media straight to you.

Larger-Than-Life Shades of Culture are West Palm Beach’s Newest Selfie Spot

Posted: June 7, 2018

As part of the Cultural Council’s “Shades of Culture” advertising campaign, visitors to the West Palm Beach Waterfront are in for a huge selfie treat. The Council commissioned local artist Frank Navarrete (Green Sky Productions) to create an experiential activation, where residents and visitors can interact with the signature aqua sunglasses – at a larger-than-life level. The over-sized sunnies—coming in at 8 ft. x 20 ft.—will be on display on the Great Lawn throughout Summer in Paradise. In addition to a cool spot to snap a shot, the lenses display static images of Ballet Palm Beach and the Palm Beach Zoo.

The Council plans to move the installation throughout the County to different venues and events throughout the year, while also rotating the organizations featured insides the lenses.

Nonprofit cultural organizations can be part of Summer in Paradise (S.I.P.) too! The City of West Palm Beach is offering the opportunity to have a booth at various S.I.P events through July 26 to nonprofit organizations at no charge.
