AIMBY - Arts in My Backyard - Family Saturdays

Did you know that students who participate in the arts have higher test scores and lower drop-out rates? And that family traditions provide a source of identity, strengthen family bonds and offer a sense of security?

The Cultural Council invites families to discover the arts together as they connect and create memories while acquiring new skills through visual art, dance and theater.

AIMBY Family Saturdays is a free program presented by various arts and cultural organizations in Palm Beach County. Each monthly event is hosted at the Council’s headquarters in downtown Lake Worth and runs from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

For more information, please contact our Education Department: education@palmbeachculture.com | (561) 472-3347.

Storytime and Illustration Session

Storytime and Illustration Session

April 13, 2019

April is Earth Month!

Have you heard about the rainmaking bacteria? They live on plants and soil, windswept to the clouds where they make ice to create rain and snow. Without them, it wouldn’t rain or snow!

Come join us for a family-friendly time as we read the new children’s book called “I Wonder What it’s Like to Be a Raindrop” with the books author (Keith Bell) and illustrator (Brent Bludworth). Thereafter, we will create beautiful ‘raindrop sun catchers’ and may even incorporate the newly created raindrops in a family dance. This interactive and celebratory event is for all ages to attend.
