The Cultural Council of Palm Beach County is now accepting nominations for its 2020 Muse Awards. This biennial award ceremony honors individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to arts and culture in Palm Beach County.
“The Muse Awards program reflects the Cultural Council’s mission to champion, engage and grow the arts in Palm Beach County,” said Dave Lawrence, president & CEO. “This year’s theme is Step Right Up, which celebrates those who have dedicated themselves to efforts that enrich Palm Beach County’s cultural sector, enhance quality of life, grow cultural tourism, and strengthen our community.”
The Cultural Council will accept nominations for the 2020 Muse Awards until 11:59 p.m. on Monday, October 21. Award recipients are chosen through a competitive nomination process. Nominations will be reviewed by a panel of community leaders, past recipients and Cultural Council board members.
The Cultural Council will announce award recipients prior to the 2020 Muse Awards on Thursday, April 2 at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts.
In addition to special presentations to each award recipient, the ceremony will feature performances by some of the county’s most talented artists. Proceeds support the Cultural Council’s programs – including its artist services, advocacy efforts on behalf of the cultural sector, and outreach programs for locals and visitors.
