The Cultural Council of Palm Beach County has issued the eagerly anticipated Call for Nominations for the 2018 Muse Awards honoring individual and organizational excellence in art and culture throughout Palm Beach County.
Every two years, outstanding Palm Beach County artists, performers, leaders and cultural institutions have the opportunity to be recognized with a coveted Muse Award. The 2018 Muse Awards will be especially exciting, as the Cultural Council celebrates its 40th anniversary of supporting the arts in Palm Beach County.

The awards highlight the important accomplishments of the arts community in The Palm Beaches, where the cultural sector enriches everyday life, supports jobs, bolsters tourism and adds to our economy. Weāre thrilled that the 2018 Muse Awards coincide with the 40th anniversary of the Cultural Council, which was founded by Alex Dreyfoos in 1978 establishing a strong cultural presence to create a lifestyle that attracts families, businesses and cultural tourists to Palm Beach County.”
Palm Beach County residents and the creative community are welcome to submit nominees for consideration as Muse Awards recipients. The deadline for submitting nominations is 11:59 p.m. on Friday, September 29 has been extended to Tuesday, October 10. Muse Awards recipients will be chosen through a competitive process by which each nomination will be reviewed and scored by judges who are artists, community leaders, past recipients and Cultural Council board members.

- Excellence in Diversity/Equity/Inclusion
- Outstanding Art in Public Places
- The Legacy Award ā Representing the heart of Palm Beach County for 40+ years
- Outstanding School committed to Arts Integration
- Outstanding Business Arts Partner
- Clyde Fyfe for Outstanding Performing Artist
- Liman Excellence in Arts Education (cash prize)
The Cultural Council will honor the award recipients at the 2018 Muse Awards on Thursday, March 22 at the Kravis Center. Additional details on the event will follow.
