Language and art will converge in the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County’s upcoming exhibition, “Mark My Words.” In this fascinating show, 15 professional Palm Beach County artists will feature words as subject matter and muse. The exhibition opens on March 31 and will run through May 27 in the Cultural Council main gallery.

“’Mark My Words’ was inspired by the dramatic evolution in how we use of language and how language is influencing our lives in new ways,” said Nichole M. Hickey, manager of Artist Services at the Cultural Council. “Our relationship with words has shifted, given the advancement of technologies to express our beliefs and feelings. This exhibition invites viewers to experience words in the context of art.”

Participating Artists include Ilene Adams, Steve Backhus, Joel Cohen, Amelia Costa, John Cutrone, Jordan DiCosola, Dana Donaty, Nicole Galluccio, Paul Gervais, Kristin Miller Hopkins, Raymond Neubert, James Rabidoux, Rose Shaw, Marilyn Walter and Jet Widick.

The exhibition will be free and open to the public beginning March 31. A Members Preview will take place on March 30 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The Preview event is free for Cultural Council members and $20 for non-members. The event will feature Trunk Show Artists LizKat Designs and Prokopetz Bow Ties, and music by Randy Malcom. Reserve a ticket online, or call (561) 472-3341 or email dcalabria@palmbeachculture.com.
