The Cultural Council’s signature fundraising event will feature a twist on the traditional Muse Awards with live performances, a cocktail reception and an art-filled silent auction

Get ready for an unforgettable evening celebrating arts and culture at the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County’s signature fundraising soiree of the season: An A-MUSE-ing Evening at The Colony Hotel!

A twist on the Council’s past Muse Awards (a beloved event celebrating arts and culture in The Palm Beaches), this year’s magnificent affair will take place on Monday, April 3, at The Colony Hotel on Palm Beach. Led by Showstopping Benefactress Roe Green, this new fundraising event will include live performances, a cocktail reception with light bites and an art-filled silent auction — all wrapped into one unforgettable night.

“Our largest fundraiser of the year exemplifies the Cultural Council’s mission to champion, engage, and grow the arts in Palm Beach County — and that starts with recognizing the innovative cultural organizations, arts supporters and creative professionals who make it happen,” said Dave Lawrence, the Cultural Council’s president and CEO.

As an added variation to this year’s event, guests are invited to find their muse and get creative with attire! No black tie this season; this dress code is “Met Gala in Palm Beach” chic, or creative and “a-MUSE-ing” cocktail apparel. This exciting evening gives all attendees a chance to raise their glass and celebrate the people and organizations that make arts and culture in Palm Beach County a roaring success.

The event will feature a red carpet for guests to showcase their stylish and imaginative ensembles, a cocktail reception, a silent auction featuring original artwork by Palm Beach County-based artists, passed hors-d’oeuvres and plenty of opportunities to mingle.

The silent auction will begin online starting March 27. Those who bid prior to the event will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a two-night hotel stay and dinner for two at The Ben, Autograph Collection in downtown West Palm Beach. The silent auction will be public and open to all, regardless of attendance at the event.

The Cultural Council will continue its annual grand tradition of honoring outstanding businesses and individuals through the presentation of the Muse Awards. Handcrafted by Palm Beach County-based professional artists Luis Montoya and Leslie Ortiz, each Muse Award recognizes monumental achievement in supporting, sustaining, and championing arts and culture in Palm Beach County. The Cultural Council’s Advocacy, Outreach, and Events Committee will select this year’s recipients in four categories: Outstanding Business Support for the Arts, Outstanding Cultural Impact, Outstanding Cultural Ambassador, and The Thalia Award for Lifetime Achievement.

“We are so excited for the return of this event with a fresh and ‘amusing’ spin. An A-MUSE-ing Evening is destined to be one of the most fun events in 2023. What better way to honor all our arts and culture treasures throughout Palm Beach County,” said Cheryl K. Crowley, the event’s committee chair and Cultural Council board member. “We’re inviting everyone to forget black tie, find your muse, dress in your most creative attire and join us for this memorable evening.”
