On Friday the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County will introduce an exhibition that is more than art. ART & DÉCOR, which runs from February 16 through May 12, celebrates the marriage of art and design. The exhibition brings together the work of eight interior designers paired with eight professional artists, all from Palm Beach County. Each duo will work together to create a customized vignette inspired by the artist’s work.

“Local designers will have an exciting challenge to create unique spaces at the Cultural Council with the inspiration of work by professional artists from Palm Beach County,” said Nichole M. Hickey, Curator and Manager of Artist Services at the Council. “Visitors to the exhibition will be transported to a world where design meets art as they experience eight unique room vignettes.”

Acclaimed interior designer Gil Walsh, who is a member of the Cultural Council’s board of directors, chose the designers who will be featured in this exhibition.

“This show is a wonderful way to display Palm Beach County’s wealth of talent in the art and design worlds. The collaborations will beautifully illustrate how these two disciplines are inextricably linked, and visitors will undoubtedly be inspired by the results,” said Walsh.

The teams of talented Palm Beach County designers and artists will include:
Stephen Mooney Interiors and Susan Romaine
Dalton Designs, Inc. and Carin Wagner
Allan Reyes Interior Design and Dana Donaty
Patrick Killian Inc. and Jacek Gancarz
Erin A. Cantu and Alexander Krivosheiw
