“Something out of Nothing” exhibition opens March 25
New works by 15 Palm Beach County artists will be exhibited to the public for the first time at the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County in an exhibition called “Something Out of Nothing.” Visitors to the Cultural Council main gallery in Lake Worth can experience this insider’s look at the evolving arts scene in The Palm Beaches starting March 25, through May 21. The exhibition is sponsored by Palm Beach Winter Open.
Curated by Nichole M. Hickey, manager of artist services at the Cultural Council, the show reflects creation and innovation through artwork that moves the viewer to explore ideas, challenge opinions and see new perspectives.
“Each artist in this exhibition was challenged to create a work specifically for this show or to display work that has recently been created and not yet exhibited. This exhibition is a testament to the creative process and the tremendous talent that is found within Palm Beach County,” said Hickey.
Artists include Amy Broderick, Yury Darashkevich, Vanessa Diaz, Rod Faulds, Lynelle Forrest, Stephen Futej, Nicole Galluccio, Isabel Gouveia, William Halliday, Sami Makela, Mumbi O’Brien, Nick Paliughi, Nellie Lou Slagle, Ryan Thomas and Matt Vought.
“Something Out of Nothing” is free and open to the public beginning March 25. Admission to the preview party on Thursday, March 24 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. is free for Cultural Council members and $20 for non-members. The event will feature trunk shows with LizKat Designs and Debbie Lee Mostel. Reserve a ticket online, call (561) 472-3341 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
