The Cultural Council today announced that it has recommended $212,500 in grants to 32 small or emerging organizations in Palm Beach County for fiscal year 2017-2018. These recommendations were approved by the Cultural Council of Palm Beach Countyās board of directors at its most recent meeting, on January 23.
āThese grants underscore the importance of supporting a diversity of art and culture programming focused on childrenās education and cultural heritage in The Palm Beaches, consistent with our mission to nurture small or emerging arts organizations,ā said Jan Rodusky, Chief Grants Officer of the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County.
Grant award amounts are based on the organizationsā budget size, grant application score and the funding available. A panel of Cultural Council board members and community volunteers review and score the grant applications based on excellence and impact. The Cultural Council manages this process on behalf of the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners, to promote and expand cultural activities for residents.
Listed below are the organizations who received Category C-1 grants and the award amounts:
Small or Emerging Cultural Organizations – Level I ($25,000-$100,000)
Small or Emerging Cultural Organizations – Level II ($100,001 – $200,000)
Small or Emerging Cultural Organizations – Level III ($200,001+)
Small or Emerging Non-Cultural Organizations-Level II ($50,000 – $1,000,000)
