The Women’s Walk was established on Cranesnest Way on the south side of the Museum campus in February 2019 as a permanent, visible and living tribute recognizing and honoring great women artists throughout history. Created from large cast-stone pavers, the Walk was inaugurated with the names of 50 women artists dating back to 1300, with plans to add new names each year.
This year, the Women’s Walk is the site for a community day celebration of Women’s History Month at the Norton Museum of Art. Visitors to the museum can enjoy refreshments and live music performances throughout the day along Cranesnest Way, and attend lectures and spotlight talks surrounding women in art in the Stiller Auditorium.
Free Saturday admission. Museum open 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
