Tough Turkey in the Big City: A Feathered Tale

Tough Turkey in the Big City: A Feathered Tale is an upbeat, brassy, Thanksgiving odyssey that offers children and families a stimulating, multi-faceted way to experience the arts of storytelling, music and dance. The performances are followed by an instrumental “petting zoo,” with opportunities to see, touch and learn how musical instruments are played.

The score, by renowned contemporary composer Bruce Adolphe to a story by Louise Gikow, was  commissioned by the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center and Chamber Music Northwest. Performances at the Mizner Park Cultural Arts Center are presented by Festival of the Arts Boca, in collaboration with The Symphonia Boca Raton, South Florida’s world-class chamber orchestra, Saladino Dance Productions, Plumosa School of the Arts and the School District of Palm Beach County.

Free, two performances: 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

NOTE: 11 a.m. performance is sold out. Click for 1 p.m. Tickets
