Visit the Norton Museum of Art on Sunday afternoon for a ticketed performance by Duo Gastesi Bezerra, in affiliation with the ClimateKeys project. The program features piano four-hand arrangements of music by Claude Debussy, Terry Owens and Lola Perrin–founder of The ClimateKeys Project, and is intended to facilitate informed discussions of climate change around the world by pairing pianists with scientific authorities in an intimate musical setting.
Leading the discussion is Dr. John Strasswimmer, from Florida Atlantic University. Strasswimmer practices Mohs surgery and Melanoma care in Delray Beach and taught previously at the faculty of the University of Miami and Harvard Medical School, where he was also on staff at Massachusetts General Hospital. He is the lead author of more than 25 publications and received a Presidential Citation of the American Academy of Dermatology for serving the needy.
Estibaliz Gastesi and Márcio Bezerra have been performing together since the 1990s. Duo Gastesi-Bezerra is the official piano-duo-in-residence of Palm Beach Atlantic University.
Purchased tickets from visitor services 30 minutes prior to the performance. $10, $5 members.
