Stetson University Concert Choir Comes to Royal Poinciana Chapel

The 50-voice Stetson University Concert Choir from DeLand, Florida, will perform a free concert at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday evening in Palm Beach. Conducted by Timothy Peter, the program includes works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Maurice Durufle and Ralph Vaughan Williams, as well as American folk music and popular hymns. About 70 singers from the Bak Middle School of the Arts will join the Concert Choir in for the final number, America the Beautiful. Chapel organist Stewart Foster will accompany the group on the chapel’s 105-rank Austin pipe organ.
