In this 1 1/2-hour workshop, Susannah Brown, Ph.D. offers a context for a rich discussion of social justice issues that affect our community, specifically in educational settings. Ideas are shared concerning how arts/cultural/science programming can not only promote an awareness of social justice issues, but lead to creative solutions and provide opportunities to voice, ask, and answer essential questions that engage community participants. An overview is provided to focus on passion with purpose projects to explain models of curriculum development and facilitate dialogue between session participants pertaining to a variety of social justice issues.
