EVENINGS AT THE COUNCIL
LOBBY DESK CONCERT
Rio Peterson is a singer/songwriter from Boynton Beach, FL. He first got into singing and live performance when he did his first musical at the age of eleven. A year later, he got his first electric guitar, and began taking lessons for music. At the age of fourteen, he stopped taking lessons, and began learning cover songs from his favorite artists at the time. As he continued, he eventually started performing at local events and open mics, playing guitar and singing songs from more diverse genres like Pop, Jazz, and Classic Rock. When he turned eighteen, he started writing original songs, and worked with multiple bands throughout the next couple of years.
After multiple projects fell through, in 2014 he decided to start writing and recording his original music as a solo artist. In 2016, he met the crew at Forever Current Studios. He continues working with them today, as well as performing live music all around South Florida. See his YouTube channel Ā»
PLUS: The Cultural Council has recently made significant changes to its membership program and services. As part of its mission, the Council now provides select services to Creative Professionals (visual artists, performing artists and creative writers) in Palm Beach County across all disciplines and at every level at no cost. Creative Professionals who wish to support the Council by becoming an Individual member receive additional benefits.
To help familiarize our family of Creative Professionals with these updates, we invite you to meet our new Artist Resource Team on Friday, October 18 here at the Cultural Council.
Stop by, meet the team, have a glass of wine and stick around for this season’s first Evenings at the Council featuring Rio Peterson. If you have any questions about the event, give us a call at (561) 471-2901.
