Palm Beach Opera presents Bernstein's "Candide"

Celebrate the 100th anniversary of Leonard Bernstein’s birth with Palm Beach Opera’s fantastic production of Candide, a comic operetta. It’s the company’s first fully staged Bernstein opera and it promises to dazzle audiences with multi-media elements. Leading the orchestra and soloists is Palm Beach Opera’s Chief Conductor, Maestro David Stern–a friend of the Bernstein family, and Stage Director Jay Lesenger.

The digital set will help create the vivid, fantastical settings this inspiring story, immersing audiences in the imagined and hyper-real settings by integrating movie-theater quality projections on the stage. The high-definition digital projections will have audiences traveling around the world with the characters, making for a truly unique opera experience. Combined with Bernstein’s magnificent score, a stellar cast and the Palm Beach Opera Orchestra, expect a musical theatre tour de force.

Candide will be sung in English with English supertitles projected above the stage.
