Maltz Jupiter Theater serves up one of the 20th-centuries most romantic musicals, South Pacific, with a three-week run beginning March 6. Set on an island in the South Pacific during World War II, a beautiful young nurse named Nellie Forbush finds herself in the midst of love and war. Having fallen in love with Frenchman Emile De Becque, a widowed plantation owner who has lived on the island for many years, her happiness is tested by political complexities and bigotry. This Rodgers and Hammerstein classic features such memorable songs, like “I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa’ My Hair” and “There is Nothing Like a Dame.”
