This session led by the DeVos Institute will explore the use of three essential fundraising “mechanisms”: annual giving, special events and targeted campaigns. Participants will discuss how best to develop the donor pipeline, from first encounter to major donor; define strategies to assess a donor’s ability and likeliness to give; consider the importance of matching prospects with the right project; and identify who should lead the solicitation and when.
