Meri Ziev taught herself to sing by listening to 8 tracks of Frank Sinatra & Barbra Streisand in the back seat of her Daddy’s Buick Riviera. Since then, Meri has garnered awards for Outstanding Musical Theatre Performances & she has sung in every type of venue, including radio & TV, for a variety of events including a gala honoring Burt Reynolds. She has studied The Art of Song Performance for many years through Master Classes & participation in The St. Louis Cabaret Conference, with such luminaries as Marilyn Maye, Faith Prince, Jeff Harnar & Sally Mayes, & Ann Hampton Callaway to name a few, with music direction & brilliant accompaniment by Billy Stritch, Tedd Firth, Alex Rybeck, Phil Hinton, Jeff Hellmer, Christopher Denny & Michael Orland.
