Watch art emerge at the world’s largest street painting festival this February! More than 600 artists converge in Lake Worth each year to transform the streets into a spectacular canvas. Two-dimensional sketches come to life in brilliant color–but there’s a catch: finished works will last for only 48 hours, since vehicles will return to the streets on Monday morning and all the art will fade away.
The Lake Worth Street Painting Festival is enhanced by live music on a main stage–and a pedestrian-friendly, open-house vibe. Local restaurants, shops and art galleries will welcome you. The festival also offers a lively food court, beer tents, kid’s activities and a bistro–something for everyone. Comfy shoes, hats, sunglasses and sunscreen are recommended!
Free parking and Pay-Park-And-Walk Lots are available along side streets, but they fill quickly. Consider Tri-Rail or other transportation. Free festival shuttles will make timely loops from the Lake Worth Tri-Rail station. (A Tri-Rail ticket is required to access this shuttle).
Another option is to leave the car at Palm Beach State College’s Lake Worth Campus (near the Duncan Theatre entrance on 6th Ave. South east of Congress Ave.), and ride a free festival shuttle to to the downtown area. This service is available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days.
