JILL SWITZER is one of the most sought-after vocalists in Palm Beach County, co-host of “The Morning Lounge with Jill and Rich” on Legends 100.3 FM WLML, and an honorary board member of The Society for the Preservation of the Great American Songbook. For the past twenty-eight years, she has performed at venues ranging from Mar-A-Lago Club in Palm Beach to Birdland in New York City. Jill has appeared on stage with the Palm Beach Pops, Tony Award®–winner Faith Prince, legendary jazz/pop vocalist Marilyn Maye, Bucky and John Pizzarelli, Ann Hampton Callaway, and recorded with the Four Freshmen and Nicolas King. Her voice has been heard on the nationally syndicated radio show Dick Robinson’s American Standards by the Sea, where she was voted by listeners three consecutive years the “Best New Female Vocalist.” In addition, Jill is a voice coach with a private practice spanning eighteen years and hundreds of students, a plenary speaker, published songwriter, and published author. In The Diva Next Door: How to be a Singing Star Wherever You Are (Allworth Press, New York), Jill provides readers with the steps for building a full-fledged, profitable singing career in a local music market.

RICH SWITZER is a gifted multi-instrumentalist/composer, entertaining audiences in South Florida for the past thirty-two years, is co-host of “The Morning Lounge with Jill and Rich” on Legends 100.3 FM WLML, and an honorary board member of The Society for the Preservation of the Great American Songbook. He has worked on stage and in the recording studio with Mary Wilson of The Supremes, The Four Freshmen, Avery Sommers, Nicolas King, Ann Hampton Callaway and Faith Prince. His four CDs of original piano instrumentals have made a significant mark on the New Age/AC market, beginning with Rich’s debut release, Quiet Storm, which was picked up by national distributor DeVorss and Company and was also sold through live performances. Rich’s sophomore project, Soulmate, was equally successful and caught the attention of veteran producer Charlie Callello. Mr. Callello gave Rich total creative control of an ambient/mood music project for JC Penney. The result was two CDs, Meditation and Stress Relief, which were sold in department stores across the country. For the past six years, Jill and Rich have focused their volunteer mentoring with the non-profit Society for the Preservation of the Great American Songbook. Paul Shewchuk: Equally proficient on the double bass and electric bass, Paul has performed in concerts and venues worldwide. He has also played on recordings that have topped the jazz charts in USA and Japan. Paul is currently located in South Florida and is actively working with many local, national, and international artists. Born in Pennsylvania, Paul grew up in Canada, where he played several instruments before focusing on the bass. After earning his Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Performance at McGill University in Montreal, Paul worked for several years across Canada, freelancing, producing, and touring with Broadway and off-Broadway shows. In 1996, Paul attended the Masters program at Florida International University under full scholarship. The following year, Paul was awarded a full scholarship to the renowned University of Miami, where he earned his Master’s Degree (Magna cum Laude) in 1999. Known for his versatility, his high-energy swinging bass lines, lyrical solos, and solid rhythm, Paul Shewchuk is an “in demand” bassist in South Florida’s music scene and beyond. Paul’s musicality, strong reading and accompanist skills, perfect pitch, and an endless repertoire of songs and styles allow him to perform in almost any musical situation with style and ease.

Notable artists he has performed with include Dr. Lonnie Smith, Arturo Sandoval, Randy Brecker, Larry Coryell, Joe Locke, Ira Sullivan, Wynton Marsalis, Paul Anka, Freddy Cole, George Benson, Jesse Jones Jr., Melton Mustapha, Nicole Henry, Talib Kweli, Freederico Britos, Nestor Torres, Rose Royce, Don Johnson, & Hazel Payne (of Taste of Honey, Cab Calloway Orchestra, Jimmy Dorsey Big Band, Gene Krupa Jr/Jack Platt Big Band, Naples Jazz Philharmonic, Naples Jazz Orchestra, Sarasota Philharmonic Orchestra, Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, Dennis Noday (Stan Kenton) Big Band, McGill University Big Band, University of Miami Big Band, Florida International University Big Band, FIU Symphonic Orchestra. He opened for: James Taylor, Celine Dion, Roberta Flack, Isaac Hayes, Tower of Power, Bo Diddley, Air Supply, Al Green, Ziggy Marley, Special EFX, George Benson, Chaka Khan, Stanley Clarke/George Duke project. Paul has performed for dignitaries such as Prince Charles, President Bill Clinton, U2, and Michael Jackson. He is a three time finalist at the Festival International de Jazz de Montreal, Winner Prix du Jury (w Nicole Henry) at Juan les Pins Jazz Festival, France, Among his recording credits, Paul has also played on two top ten Jazz CD’s.

FRANK DERRICK: Drummer, Frank Derrick, has led a multifaceted national and international music career. He is a virtuoso performer, composer, and educator. In addition to his many theatrical credits, he has performed with numerous legends including Eubie Blake, The Duke Ellington Orchestra, The Woody Herman Orchestra, Benny Carter, Hank Jones, Ann Hampton Calloway, Keely Smith, The Louis Armstrong Legacy Band, and Regis Philbin to name a few. He toured worldwide with Cab Calloway for 10 years, was the drummer for “The David Letterman Show” on NBC, and also the drummer, assistant conductor and personnel manager for the Palm Beach Pops. Currently Frank continues to work with various internationally acclaimed artists and is Professor of Percussion at Palm Beach State College. He is the respected author of FOCUS ON TECHNIQUE FOR DRUMMERS, the Drumset Editor for Percussive Notes, and appears with his band following the release of his jazz-chart busting CD, THE BEAT GOES ON on the Jazzed Media label.
