Art Talks: Self-Reflections with Jill Hotchkiss

Join us as Cultural Council member and artist Jill Hotchkiss shares her works of art Preserved Botanicals, on view in our current exhibition Reflections. She explains the process of making each work—accompanied with a gilding demonstration—along with her personal story in this introspective talk.

Admission is free for Cultural Council members, and $10 for nonmembers.

Space is limited. Facial coverings and social distancing will be required for all attendees.

 

Artist Bio:Jill Hotchkiss Headshot 2020

Jill Hotchkiss was born in Hollywood, Florida. She received her Master of Fine Arts in Sculpture from Pratt Institute and her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the University of Florida. She has participated in artist residencies in Public Art at School of Visual Arts in New York and at Oolite Arts in Miami. After working for the past 10 years in New York City as a practicing artist and teaching artist (instructing children and adults), she has recently returned back to her home state and has a working studio, open to the public, based in downtown Delray Beach, Florida. Her work has been included in numerous exhibitions; in private and public collections throughout the United States, South America, Japan and Europe; and a variety of large-scale hospitality and architectural commissions.
