Equally Divine: The Real Story of the Mona Lisa

This rather brilliantly written work brings to life the subject of Leonardo Da Vinci’s famous “Mona Lisa” portrait, and she/he has a lot to say about his/her admirers over the centuries, including Picasso, Napoleon and King Francis I. The work calls into question what may have actually happened between Leonardo, the original Lisa, and Leonardo’s male lover when the portrait was made. A single actor portrays both male and female characters in this intriguing and intimate version of Jenny Lyn Bader’s play, produced and performed by The Core Ensemble.
