Miami native Curtis Lundy joined the New York jazz scene in 1978 and never left. His work in Betty Carter’s band with fellow rhythm section players Kenny Washington (drums) and John Hicks (piano) brought instant recognition of his effortless ability to make music swing. He’s also performed with Art Blakey, Johnny Griffin, Freddy Hubbard, Pharoah Sanders, John Hicks, Wynton Marsalis, Bobby Watson, Clark Terry, Sam Rivers and many others. Hear him at Arts Garage, a BYOW venue (bring your own whatever, including openers, cups, napkins and food). He’ll be performing alongside Stephen Scott (piano) and Terreon Gully (drums).
