Compagnie Hervé KOUBI: The Barbarian Nights, or the First Dawns of the World

Raised in France with Algerian roots, dynamic choreographer Hervé Koubi’s company of male dancers explodes in The Barbarian Nights, or the First Dawns of the World, a work that emerged from the awe-inspiring story of the Mediterranean basin. Koubi weaves together Eastern and Western music with ferocious physicality and primal intensity, inspired visions of cultural upheaval and common ground. Intended for mature audiences.

Following the February 22 performance, Steve Caras leads a free post-performance talk about Koubi and his work, sharing insights about the choreography and story-telling process.
