MICHAEL MACKEY: Trumpeter, Michael Mackey of Jupiter, Florida is a Dreyfoos School of the Arts graduate and currently attends Palm Beach State College. He performs and tours with jazz vocalist Yvette Norwood-Tiger and has performed with her at Royal Albert Hall in London, England; B-Flat Jazz Club in Berlin, Germany, Palais des Beaux-Arts (Bozar) in Brussels, Belgium, The Raymond F. Kravis Center in West Palm Beach, Florida, and the Miami International Jazz Festival in Miami, Florida. Michael’s jazz influences are Clark Terry, Freddie Hubbard, Woody Shaw, Bill Evans, and Dexter Gordon.

BASHAUM STEWART: Pianist Bashaum Stewart was born in Syracuse, New York and currently attends Indian River State College. He is inspired by many jazz greats including Mulgrew Miller, Chick Corea, Robert Glasper, and Branford Marsalis.

JOSHUA EWERS: Contrabassist, Joshua Ewers of Loxahatchee, Florida is a Dreyfoos School of the Arts graduate and now attends Palm Beach State College. He performs regularly throughout Palm Beach County and has performed at The Raymond F. Kravis Center as well as the Arts Garage in Delray Beach, Florida. His jazz influences are Eddie Gomez, Ron Carter, Christian McBride, and Ray Brown.

GUS D’ANGELO: Gus D’Angelo, from Melbourne, Florida, attends University of Central Florida. He has performed at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, The Abbey (Downtown Orlando), The McAlpin Fine Arts Theatre, The Sunrise Black Box Theatre, among many others concert venues in Florida. His influences are Kenny Washington, Rodney Green, “Philly” Joe Jones, Art Blakey, Brian Blade, Gerald Clayton, Lage Lund, Jochen Ruckert to name a few.

MAKAYLA FORGIONE: Vocalist Makayla Forgione is from Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. She attends University of Miami and was recently given “The Young Artist Award” from the Society for the Preservation of the Great American Songbook. Her music influences are Carmen McRae, Abbey Smith, Art Blakey, Cecile McLorin Salvant, Kenny Wheeler, and Kurt Elling.
