December 19-23 is a wonderful time to visit the Flagler Museum. Whitehall’s first floor is decorated in traditional Gilded-age splendor, with a 16-foot-tall Christmas Tree in the Grand Hall. It’s adorened with colored electrical lights and traditional Gilded-age style ornaments.
Evening tours included a holiday-themed reception from 6:30 p.m. During this after-hours event, guests discover the origins of American Christmas traditions. Each evening begins with a reception that features carols, refreshments and holiday-themed activities. It’s followed by a special holiday tour with the rare opportunity to experience Whitehall by the glow of its original 1902 light fixtures. Every visitor also receives a traditional Flagler Museum Christmas Cracker at the tour’s conclusion. Best of all, the Museum Store is open for holiday shopping until 7:30 p.m.
On December 19 and 20, tours begin at 6:45, 7:00 and 7:15 p.m. On December 21, 22 and 23, tours are offered at 6:45, 7:00, 7:15 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
