Tired of being a snap-shooter? Want to become a creative, artistic bird photographer instead? This class is for you!
People come from all over the world to see and photograph the birds of South Florida–and some of the best locations for photographing them are nearby. During this 3-day workshop, Lewis Kemper teaches attendees how to take their images to the next level, covering everything from setting up a camera for the unique challenges of bird photography, including metering modes, focus points, shutter speeds and apertures. Instead of taking textbook images of birds–if you’re lucky–why not learn from an industry expert how to consistently create artistic, captivating images of these gorgeous birds in their natural habitat?
Kemper will take his students into the field each morning at sunrise for a guided photoshoot, to gain daily knowledge and experience that allows their work to transcend the ordinary and enter the realm of art. An accomplished photographer, writer, and instructor, he lectures throughout the United States and has published several important photography books including “Ancient Ancestors of the Southwest” and “Capturing the Light,” which won him the People’s Choice Awards for Fine Art Photography in 2009 . Kemper’s latest project is “My Stretch of the River: A Photographer’s Journal.” Yep, he’s pretty famous.
