All people wish to be heard and seen for exactly who they are without question or compromise. Artists are uniquely capable of visually capturing and communicating their emotions and essence through their work. This exhibition will include artists who identify as LGBTQ+ as well as artists whose work interrogates issues of rights, representation, and the lived experience of LGBTQ+ individuals. This exhibition is presented in collaboration with artist Jose Alvarez.
This event also serves as the launch party for the Winter 2022 issue of art&culture magazine—the definitive, award-winning source for cultural residents and tourists in Palm Beach County. The extraordinary Winter 2022 issue features a story on the intricate art of playwriting, an interview with upcoming Culture & Cocktails speaker Bonnie Lautenberg, and a stunning cover image that spotlights work by Jennifer Kaplan—one of four artists in residence at the Armory Art Center.
The Cultural Council cares about the safety of our guests and staff. Facial coverings will be recommended while inside the building. Wine and light bites will be served in a designated area. For private tours, please contact Debbie Calabria at (561) 472-3330.
