Art Talk: Artist/Scientist Diane Arrieta at Manatee Lagoon

Join us for an interactive session and take a trip to the arctic with artist and scientist Diane Arrieta. Harold the yeti from the Cultural Council exhibition Visualizing Climate Disruption will join her as she discusses the animals of the arctic regions and Himalayas, the basic science of melting polar ice caps, and what glacial lake overflow flooding means for all of us. Arrieta focuses on wonder and curiosity in her art and engages viewers in scientific questions through her art.

Families and people of all ages are welcome to attend.

Free admission, registration recommended.
Art Talks run from 2 to 3 p.m.
