The Boynton Beach Short Film Festival (BBSFF), a FLORIDIAN FILMMAKER festival conceived by students who learn film-making and marketing as part of their high school curriculum, has plenty of good work to share with the world. Following last year’s inaugural launch, the festival has expanded to include six days of screenings at Alco’s Boynton Cinema. This annual event celebrates the creativity of edgy, provocative, and inspirational storytelling and includes works that will appeal to wide audiences.
Among the official selections is a short film by James Venable called “Art Meets Jazz on J Street. It features a local group of musicians who meet on the third Tuesday of each month at Clay, Glass, Metal, Stone Gallery in Lake Worth, for an impromtu jam session.
Catch a screening of “Art Meets Jazz on J Street” April 18 at 7 p.m. or 8:30 p.m., or on April 21 at 2 p.m. or 3:45 p.m.
