The film brings to life Randi’s intricate investigations that publicly exposed psychics, faith healers, and con artists with quasi-religious fervor. “The Amazing” Randi created fictional characters and fake psychics, even turning his partner of 25 years, Jose Alvarez, into a sham guru named Carlos. But when shocking news in Mr. Randi’s personal life was uncovered, the question was raised – was Randi the deceiver or the deceived?
