Join Royal Palm Beach Branch Library in-person, or, online to learn the history of Paradise Park, a segregated African-American resort in Central Florida and one of the biggest tourist attractions of its time!

Lu Vickers was awarded a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship for fiction as well as two Florida Book Awards and three Florida Individuals Artists Fellowships. In addition to writing Remembering Paradise Park with Cynthia W. Graham, she has written Breathing Underwater, and other Florida history books, including Weeki Wachee, City of Mermaids and Cypress Gardens, America’s Tropical Wonderland.
