Vegetable Love

An All Vegetable Feast

On March 26, 2017, Swank Farms in Loxahatchee hosted “Vegetable Love: An All-Vegetable Feast,” benefitting the Cultural Council’s educational programs. This spectacular night highlighted a menu prepared by talented chefs from South Florida, with the dishes served of vegetarian and vegan fare. Guests indulged on delicious treats that highlighted the community’s shared affection of “Vegetable Love.”

Chefs included: Eric Baker, executive chef of Max’s Harvest in Delray Beach; Ken Blue, executive chef of Hippocrates Health Institute in West Palm Beach; Della Heiman, founder of Della’s Test Kitchen and The Wynwood Yard in Miami; Bashir Al Shamili, executive pastry chef at the Four Season’s Resort in Palm Beach; Amber Antonelli, owner/chef of The Naked Bite in Miami and Austin; Mike Dixon, bartender at Aaron’s Wellington Hospitality Group in Wellington; Stephanie Miskew, sommelier at The Glamorous Gourmet and The Wine Atelier in Delray Beach; Laurent Drouhin, North American and Caribbean ambassador & sales director at Maison Joseph Drouhin in Burgundy, France.

The Swank Table calls on the best of our state’s farmers, ranchers, artisanal producers, micro-brewers and organic winemakers. Swank Specialty Produce is a hydroponic farm owned and operated by Darrin and Jodi Swank since 2002. Swank grows over 280 varieties of vegetables and sells to many chefs throughout Palm Beach, Broward, Dade and Orlando.
