The Cultural Council for Palm Beach County is pleased to announce the upcoming return of its annual MOSAIC (“Month of Shows, Art, Ideas and Culture”) program, held during the month of May.
Now in its sixth year, the month-long celebration showcases The Palm Beaches’ arts and cultural institutions, many of which are offering exclusive deals of up to 50 percent off regular prices as part of MOSAIC. With featured organizations that range from the family-friendly Cox Science Center and Aquarium to the beautiful Mounts Botanical Garden and world-class Boca Raton Museum of Art, MOSAIC is the perfect time to experience all that Florida’s Cultural Capital® has to offer.
“We’re thrilled that over 25 cultural organizations are participating in MOSAIC this May,” said Lauren Perry, the Cultural Council’s director of marketing and cultural tourism. “While this month-long celebration is designed to draw tourists to The Palm Beaches, there are some amazing deals on admission to museums, tickets to live performances, exciting eco-tours and hands-on art classes that Palm Beach County residents won’t want to miss.”
This year, MOSAIC will also include Palm Beach County Open Studios, a new initiative taking place on May 20 from noon to 5 p.m. During this free event, visitors will have the chance to visit more than 65 Palm Beach County-based creative professionals at their studios, witnessing the creative process with the opportunity to purchase art directly from the creators. Artists’ demonstrations will range from painting to glass blowing, photography, jewelry making, sculpture, printmaking and more. Open Studios is sponsored by Zero Empty Spaces and WLRN.
