The Cultural Council is now accepting applications for its annual Dina Baker Fund for Mature Female Artists.

The Dina Baker Fund for Mature Female Artists grants $10,000 to a local visual artist age 60 or older, enabling her to further her artistic development and achievement. Funds may be used for professional development, arts-related exhibition expenses, equipment and supplies, healthcare costs or basic living expenses.

In addition to the funds, the 2020 recipient will receive a one-year membership and a solo exhibition in May 2021 at the Cultural Council.

The deadline to apply for the grant is Friday, Oct. 16. A panel of visual art professionals will select the recipient on a competitive basis, giving the highest priority to artistic ability, financial need and a true passion for the arts. The recipient will be announced this December.
