The Cultural Council for Palm Beach County was recently awarded $60,000 from the 2020 Great Charity Challenge, presented by Fidelity Investments, after participating in the annual philanthropic event.

The GCC is a relay-style jumping competition that allows the equestrian world to give back to Palm Beach County nonprofits. Teams consist of two junior riders and one Olympic rider. Each team is randomly paired with one of the selected charities.

This year’s theme, “Broadway Musicals”, honored the wisdom often found in the productions – inspiring attendees to be the change they wish to see in their communities.

After completing an application and vetting process, the Cultural Council and 40 other nonprofits were randomly selected to participate through a drawing last December. All Palm Beach County 501(c)(3) organizations are invited to apply each year, and every charity selected this year won a guaranteed minimum of $15,000.
