Outstanding Environmental and Science Organization

The nonprofit cultural organization nominated in this category has produced excellent public programming focused on the environment, sciences, and natural history and may include themes of conservation, protection, and/or preservation. Success will be judged using a variety of criteria including audience impact, educational efficacy, and innovation.

Excellence in Diversity/Equity/Inclusion

The cultural organization nominated in this category has implemented innovative efforts that promote the equitable inclusion of both artists and audiences in arts and cultural programming to broaden the organization’s reach. Diversity and inclusion may be addressed through demographics, cultural heritage, sexual orientation, age or accessibility, and equity may take the form of increased outreach, programming selection, or other thoughtful means of including all members of the community.

Outstanding Art in Public Places
The artist nominated in this category has created and installed a visual work of art in Palm Beach County that demonstrates artistic excellence and has contributed to a distinctive quality of place. Works of art may include sculpture, art integrated into architectural or landscape spaces, both temporary and permanent.

The Legacy Award – Representing the heart of Palm Beach County for 40+ years

The cultural organization or individual nominated in this category has made a significant impact over the past 40 years by providing quality arts and cultural programming throughout its existence to bring prosperity to Palm Beach County.

Outstanding School committed to Arts Integration

The Palm Beach County school nominated in this category provides quality arts integrated education using visual or performing arts through traditional classroom setting or in aftercare programs. The school works closely with art and cultural organizations through a long-term strategy to embed arts and culture into the curriculum.

Outstanding Business Arts Partner
The business nominated in this category has significantly advanced arts and culture in Palm Beach County through support and projects which contribute to the growth of communities, jobs and economic prosperity.

Clyde Fyfe for Outstanding Performing Artist
The Fyfe Award, named for legendary local performing arts expert and past Chairman of the Cultural Council, recognizes a performing artist whose life and work emulates excellence in the field and contributes to the advancement of our quality of life in Palm Beach County by sharing work methods with others in our community. To be considered for the award, an artist must be nominated by his or her professional peers.

Liman Excellence in Arts Education (cash prize ONLY)
The recipient of this award may be an individual or an organization who has achieved success in advancing arts and cultural education for students in Palm Beach County. The nominee must have demonstrated success in enhancing the learning process or solving problems by implementing creative and stimulating programs that inspire students of any age or ability. The nominee may be an arts educator at a cultural organization, public school, private school, college, university, or other educational institution. This award includes a cash prize of $5,000.
