ArtFields, one of the South’s most premier art competitions, is set for April 26 – May 4th, and the group is currently seeking submissions from artists (ages 18+) who work in all mediums, with a deadline of November 5th.
ArtFields has awarded $700,000+ in prize money to date – and in 2019 will award over $145,000 in a variety of award categories – including a prize for the best piece from each of its 12 participating states. If you’re not familiar, ArtFields is a nine-day competition and exhibition, held annually in Lake City, South Carolina. The event quite literally transforms the town into a gallery, displaying up to 400 pieces of artwork throughout downtown businesses, boutiques, restaurants, galleries, libraries, and more.
Accepted artists will be notified in December, and winners will be announced at the ArtFields finale in May 2019. We hope to celebrate as many Southern artists as possible this year, and would love your help spreading the word among your network of artist friends and colleagues.
