
A "nexus" is defined as a link--or the connectedness among things. At The Scripps Research Institute/Scripps Florida, we are exploring the nexus between science and art through a uniquely innovative project. As this prestigious and world-renowned science organization prepared to open its highly anticipated new facilities, it deliberately and purposefully sought out a means to connect to the art world. In doing so, it ultimately celebrates the creative industries of Palm Beach County.
The resulting nexus between Scripps Florida and the Palm Beach County Cultural Council has culminated in an installation of more than 70 works of art created by 40 different Palm Beach County artists - the largest exhibition of Palm Beach County artists anywhere.
