The Cultural Council of Palm Beach County is taking the hassle and hurry out of holiday shopping this year with "A Taste of Art" on November 14 from 6-9 p.m. The event, which will be held at the Cultural Council building at 601 Lake Avenue in Lake Worth, is a unique way to encourage the "buy local" movement with an emphasis on supporting the work of artists who live or work in Palm Beach County.

Cultural Council Awards Tens of Thousands in Grants to Palm Beach County Arts Organizations through SmARTBiz Summit 2014

The winners of the City of Boynton Beach's Focus on Planning Photo Contest were announced today by Mayor “Jerry” Taylor. The photo contest was held to commemorate National Community Planning Month and recognize urban design features within the City limits. Photographs must have captured Boynton Beach’s distinctive architecture; its urban designs, cityscapes, landmarks and/or structures.

Cultural Council Names 2014 South Florida Cultural Consortium Palm Beach County Fellowship Winners

The Cultural Council of Palm Beach County is proud to announce the two Palm Beach County recipients of the 2014 South Florida Cultural Consortium Fellowship for Visual and Media Artists. Vanessa Diaz and Mumbi O'Brien will each receive a $7,500 fellowship award to use as they wish to support their work.

SmARTBiz Summit 2014 Brings Together Business & Arts Communities

SmARTBiz was created to strengthen the connections between cultural organizations and the business community.

Kinetic artist, Elayna Toby, has been commissioned by the City of Boynton Beach Art in Public Places Program to facilitate Kinetic-Connections, a kinetic sculpture that the public will assist in creating from upcycle objects. Kinetic-Connections will be showcased at the 2015 International Kinetic Art Exhibition and Symposium, Feb. 6 - 8, 2015.

The Cultural Council of Palm Beach County is showing off the talents of 14 professional Palm Beach County artists in its latest exhibition, Monochrome, which runs October 31 to December 6, with a special preview party on October 30. The only thing the artists are restricted to is the range of colors in their painting, drawing, mixed media, photography and sculpture - but they are challenging themselves and the viewer to slow down and take in the details and the emotion conveyed by the art.

Palm Beach Symphony STEAMS with Science

Plein Air Palm Beach artists are scheduled for five Meetups leading up to, and during, the 2015 International Kinetic Art Exhibit and Symposium event, Feb. 6 - 8. Plein Air artists will paint the kinetic art sited in the urban streetscapes and landscapes. All of the paintings will be exhibited in the Boynton Beach City Library, located at 208 S. Seacrest Blvd., from Dec. 2014 through Apr. 2015.
