Building Learning Communities through Arts & Culture (BLCTAC) -
Year 3
General Information
Guiding Questions for Building Capacity:
- Teachers, what are the lessons you love to teach? Don’t really like to teach? Feel you have less expertise in and could use support? THOSE are the ones that are perfect for arts integration - Goal is not to overwhelm and do EXTRA projects – the goal is to embed these practices in the classroom
- What can be shared?
- What can be applied across content areas?
- What products can be sent home with students or shared with other classes?
- What’s left behind when the Cultural Council and Arts partners through BLCTAC are not there?
- What does the teacher do when the artist is not there – to reinforce, build on, use strategies in other ways, in other content?
