Sharing Ideas and Shaping the Future - Artist Needs Assessment
The Cultural Council of Palm Beach County conducted a needs assessment of professional artists in Palm Beach County. Professional artists from all disciplines were encouraged to attend and participate in an open forum and survey to share their interests, concerns, perspectives and needs in the community. How the Cultural Council recognizes local artists:
Using endowment income contributed for the purpose, the Cultural Council periodically awards the artistic development and community service of emerging Palm Beach County artists in two categories, Visual Arts and Performing Arts.  There is no application process and awards are made by the Council's board of directors based on recommendation of a panel of past awardees.

The Hector Ubertalli Award for Visual Artists - $2,500
Recognizes a visual artists whose life and work emulate those of the late Hector Ubertalli, the Palm Beach County painter and sculptor.

The Clyde Fyfe Award for Performing Artists - $2,500
Recognizes a performing artist whose life and work emulate those of the late Clyde Fyfe, the Palm Beach County impresario and arts leader.
