National Arts & Humanities Month
Dear Cultural Friend,
October is recognized as National Arts and Humanities Month (NAHM) by thousands of arts and cultural organizations, communities, and municipalities across the country, as well as by the White House and Congress.
In Palm Beach County there are many reasons to celebrate National Arts and Humanities Month. We have a $209 million cultural industry that enhances our quality of life, stimulates tourism, and fuels our overall economy. Palm Beach County has more major cultural organizations (with $1 million budgets or higher) than anywhere in the coastal Southeast.
During October, please get out and enjoy exploring Palm Beach County’s wonderful cultural organizations by visiting exhibits, attending performances or enjoying nature and history-based outings. Consider joining the Council so you can receive art&culture magazine and stay informed.
The events listed below and the link to the Cultural Council’s October calendar of events contains a wonderful selection of art and cultural activities that will enrich the lives of adults and children of all ages.
The arts help us expand thinking, connect us to our collective past, and celebrate our humanity. Help us celebrate the positive impact arts and humanities bring to our communities by practicing, or initiating, a life-long relationship with the arts.

Coordinated by Americans for the Arts, NAHM has become the nation's largest collective annual celebration of the arts.
